Our Programs

Our Programs

Violence Prevention • Opioid Awareness & Harm Reduction • Community Health • Youth Pathways

MYDC provides culturally responsive services rooted in the East African community, with a focus on Somali youth and families most impacted by substance use, violence, and community health disparities. Through programs like Pivot to Success, we raise awareness, provide education, and create safe spaces where youth and families can connect with mental health practitioners, medical providers, and trusted community leaders.

Our work includes opioid prevention and response, violence interruption, and community health programs that address daily challenges faced by immigrant families. Grounded in Asset-Based Community Development, we build on community strengths and bridge gaps caused by language, outreach, and access barriers.
