Our High School Mentorship Program is here to help students build the skills, confidence, and support they need to successfully make the leap from high school to college. With a mix of workshops, resources, and one-on-one guidance, we prepare students for the exciting, yet challenging, journey ahead in higher education. Rose, who oversees this program, ensures that each student is matched with the right mentor and receives the tools they need to succeed.
Through this program, students get the chance to connect with caring adult mentors from both their schools and local communities. These mentors aren’t just role models—they’re there to offer advice, encouragement, and emotional support, helping students navigate both academic and personal hurdles along the way.
Mentorship isn’t just about advice; it’s about building meaningful relationships. Mentors meet with their mentees regularly, creating a space where students can openly share their goals, concerns, and dreams. Research shows that students who have mentors feel more connected to school, are more motivated, and are more likely to get involved in extracurricular activities, leading to a richer, more fulfilling high school experience.
